In the late 1940s, America's favorite horse and rider travelled by private railcar to Buford, Georgia for a custom Bona Allen show saddle.

Sculptor Vic McCallum is creating a life-size bronze sculpture to depict the presentation of that saddle to Trigger and Roy Rogers. This Hollywood business connection illustrates the nation's recognition of the skilled craftsmen found in Buford for over 100 years. Our saddlemaker, John Johnson, stands in tribute to the generations responsible for this area's historic industry.

From the early 1930s and 1940s, most Hollywood cowboys demanded their finest custom show saddles from the Bona Allen Company in historic Buford, Georgia. The actors of the classic western series Bonanza all rode on saddles from Bona Allen.
