This memorial will be the centerpiece of a park across
from the Bona Allen Shoe and Horse Collar Factory (now known as
the Tannery Row Mercantile) in historic Buford, Georgia.
The sculpture depicts the presentation of a Bona Allen saddle,
made in Buford, to Roy Rogers and Trigger by saddlemaker John Johnston.
However, the meaning behind the statue should not be limited to
this one event in time. Roy Rogers represents all Americans, celebrity
or not, who recognize and seek out the highest level of skill and
craftsmanship available. In addition, our saddlemaker represents
all men and women dedicated to superlative quality in their art.
This memorial will stand in Tribute to American Made craftsmanship.
