Vic McCallum

Vic with Eagle
Vic with the clay original of the Gwinnett County Fallen Heroes Memorial eagle.

Sculptor Vic McCallum, a native Georgian, has work that graces both private collections and public spaces. His works encompass all aspects of life, from humans and animals to angels and mythological figures. He received a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1982 at UGA while studying under renowned sculptor Professor William J. Thompson.

In describing his creative process, McCallum says "You have to get to that place where it just happens, where it flows. Whether it's a human figure or horses, it's an aspect beyond the visual. It's the spiritual, and that's the part I just open up to. That's when it's the best."

Vic McCallum's current work can be viewed at his studio in the Tannery Row Cultural Arts Center, 554 West Main Street, Building C, in historic Buford, Georgia. More of his work can be seen online: visit his website at www.highlanderstudio.com.
